General Rules !

Respect. This applies to everyone. Respect the other members, the staff and even the guests, whether they're nice or not. Yes, even them. If you don't respect the members and staff, you will be asked to chill or leave. Do as we ask or you will be banned.

Swearing. In character is fine - I could care less if your character is a straight up potty mouth. However, out of character and in the chat box swearing is not permitted. The smaller cusses such as 'hell' and 'shit' are tolerated, but any swearing rampages will have you banned. When out of character, keep your mouth to a minimum.

Posting. If any member on this forum fails to post a minimum of at least three hundred words, said member will not be able to continue to role play until their post is at least three hundred words long. This being said, this only applies to in character posts. We're all literate to advanced here, and we should all hold the capability to post a minimum of three hundred words with proper spelling and punctuation. When in character, you may use either third person or first person.

Activity. If you're going on a vacation or something has come up where you aren't going to be around for a while, let an administrator know. There is a board to post away threads in, so use it, though not to your advantage. Activity checks will be posted about every month, more or less, and if you fail to keep your account active, it will be deleted. No questions asked.

Chat speak. This is not permitted at Hell's Monarchy. Terms such as 'brb', 'g2g', and 'lol' are tolerated, but anything remotely related to 'hey guize wutz up?' or 'Im not gunna b on 2day' will not be permitted. Not even in the chat box. We all have the capability to post coherent, understandable sentences that aren't required to be missing letters or be filled with numbers or other unnecessary characters. In character, absolutely NO chat speak will be used. We all know how to speak the English language, and here at HM, you are expected to do exactly that.

Spam. This is not accepted here. Spamming, whether in the c-box or in a thread, is not tolerated and looks very messy. Edit your post if you need to. Don't fill up the chat box with annoying little phrases or comments. The password is sativa. If you're having a full on conversation that will be more than three posts in the chat box, that is understandable, but I don't want to see eight ongoing posts by the same person. Try to keep it neat.

Maturity. Our site is rated PG13 for speech, descriptive fighting, and fade-to-blacks. I expect every single member that comes here to be mature about a plethora of things. No out-of-character drama. NONE. The second drama starts up out-of-character, I will give each member a warning. If it comes up again, temporary bans will pursue. However, if you feel like being a complete happy-high lunatic, feel free to express yourself. C:

Enjoyment. Enjoy yourselves! Lachrymosa is here solely for your entertainment, and we want you to have fun! Make friends and have a good time.

Accounts !

Usernames. Please keep your username simple. Nothing like 'B0B IZ AW3SOM3TAST!C H@RDC0R3xxx' or anything. Nothing anime related, either. I don't need characters from Wolf's Rain or some other anime show or movie appearing on my site. We want to call you what you want to be called. If you think your username will be a problem before you register it, contact an administrator. Be original. Ten 'Shadow's or 'Snow's will drive us crazy, and your username will be changed, personally, by a staff member.

Accounts. You are allowed one account for all of your characters, or you may have one account for each character you have. Staff members will have their own separate staff accounts for you to contact, if they want one.

Avatars. Also known as your account icon, these may be no wider than 150px, and no taller than 200px. If your avatar is found stretching the boards, you will be asked to resize it. If you don't resize your avatar, it will be removed. It's simple, guys, really.

Signatures. Signatures must be a reasonable size. If your signature is found stretching the boards, you will be asked to resize it. If you don't resize your signature, it will be removed. This is as simple as sizing your avatars. If you want an estimated size for your signature, try 450x200 pixels.

In Character !

God-moding. NO GOD-MODING. This will not be tolerated at all. Everyone gets hurt and even dies at some point in their lives. People hurt themselves frequently, whether it's something major or minor. Animals do the same. Nothing is more irritating than a character that is constantly over powering another character or dodging every attack during a battle. If you are found god-moding, you will be punished without warning. DON'T DO IT.

Power-playing. NO POWER-PLAYING. This will not be tolerated at all. It's as equally annoying as god-moding, and if you post another character's actions in your post, said post will be deleted. If you have the other member's permission, then it's alright, but both members need to inform an administrator of this. If you are found power-playing, you will be punished without warning. DON'T DO IT.

Love. Don't make a thread where two characters fall in love immediately. Love does not come immediately; this kind of thing takes time, and we expect you to have at least one full thread - at least ten to twenty posts - before your characters begin to consider having feelings for each other. You can not have two of your own characters fall for each other, either.

Realism. As far as our fantasy rating goes, we're pretty fantasmical. I mean, we've got wolves with wings, horns, and powers. What's up? Anime images or cartoons will not be used here. If you need a picture, post a request in a graphic studio. If you don't want to do that, leave your character's picture blank unless you have your own. We want to keep the site as organized as possible. If you have any questions about this rule, PM a staff member.

Liquid Time. Liquid time is allowed here at Hell's Monarchy. Your character will be allowed up to four threads at a time. Any other threads after this limit will be removed. If you want to pull said character out of one thread to put them in another, feel free to do so, but I don't want to see you jumping from thread to thread.

Breeds. We only allow species native to Valor here. We have specific breeds that can only be bought in the store if you have enough credits for them. Characters that are half breeds are not allowed to be created unless approved by Dollfie.

Breeding and Battles !

Breeding. Breeding is allowed. However, I don't want to see your character in more than one breeding thread at a time, and I don't want to see more than two of your characters breeding at a time. You cannot breed your own characters - you must breed with the character of another member. Pleasure breeding is allowed. All threads containing graphic breeding will only be role played under the 'Mature Content' board. If you wish to create pups, notify a staff member.

Fighting. Casual fighting is allowed. However if it is over something such as pack leadership or territory claims, let a staff member know to allow us to judge it fairly. Remember to allow your character to be injured or get tired - it helps to keep things realistic. Fighting allows eight posts per player - four attacks, and four dodges. If a gang fight occurs, even up the sides. I don't want to see one dog taking on three others, unless it is a trespasser. However, if the member chooses to do so, said trespasser has the choice to leave the thread to 'save' their character. Canines can only die in battle if a member is okay with it. Any graphic fighting threads can be role played under the 'Mature Content' board.

Packs !

Alphas are required to be at least four years of age before they can rightfully lead a pack. There are no breed or gender restrictions, for it is possible for a female to lead a pack. If there are two alphas, they share the power equally, whether they are mates or not. Pack leaders will post a thread in their pack's territory concerning the rules of the pack - be sure to follow them.

Graphics !

Don't let your graphics stretch the board. If your character's picture is too large and you don't know how to resize it, ask someone to do it for you. If you need a character picture or some other type of graphic, post in a member's graphic studio - that's what they're there for. Don't post inappropriate images, and don't claim the work of someone else as your own.
